Cultural competitions are a great way for the whole school to become involved with the School Games. You can run them as an inter-class/form group competition or a project. You could also open it up to the whole school - it is a perfect way to engage those students that don't see themselves as 'sporty' and show them that sport really is for all!
Create a Hashtag
We are looking for a new hashtag for our Summer School Games social media and are wanting some creative minds to help us come up with one.
Our competition is now open and will close on Friday 2nd June at 5pm. Entrants can be made by completing the below entry form or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
Contact details:(can be parent or school email/phone no.)
The winning hashtag will be used on all social media platforms throughout the Summer School Games Season as well as the winner being presented with a certificate and having the first official picture in a School Games selfie frame.
Opportunity to Perform at our Opening Ceremony
We want our opening ceremony on both Festival days (13th & 14th July) to be breath taking, awe inspiring and unbelievably memorable.
For this to happen we need performers of all varieties to really make the show, you could be a dancer, a singer, really good at circus tricks, have a special sporting talent - think Britain's Got Talent ... brummie style.
All entrants must be received by Friday 23rd June at 5pm and winners will be announced on Friday 30th June.
Winners will have the opportunity to perform as part of the opening ceremony, get a full tour of the school games, Q&A session with out sporting ambassador on the day as well as VIP lunch and opportunity to have a go at some of our sports and activities in our taster village.
