The Birmingham Business Games
Bringing together company teams from workplaces across Birmingham, the annual multisport festival is THE sports networking event of the year, providing the opportunity to compete in various team activities with your colleagues in a fun and informal environment.
The Business Games is our exciting flagship event designed to get workplaces enjoying being healthy and active after work, whilst providing a fun and friendly environment in which to build relationships and informally network. Teams from across the city are invited to represent their businesses and take part in an evening of fun team games and individual sporting challenges delivered by qualified local sports coaches.
As well as offering a fun and relaxed environment in which to network and socialise with colleagues, the Business Games also provides the opportunity to obtain information about how to keep workplaces fit, healthy and active for the long term in our great city.
In the year of 2016, we partnered with Birmingham-loving charity, LoveBrum to maximise opportunities to fundraise for local worthy causes linked to sport, physical activity and health. The Birmingham Business Games took place on 13th July and was attended by 20 company teams at Perry Barr's prestigious Alexander Stadium (a growth of 60% from the 2015 inaugural games).
The fun multi-sport competition welcomed over 200 of the city's professionals, along with BBC TV and radio presenter Phil Upton as compere for the evening. The collaboration and emphasis on fundraising on the night helped to secure 9 sponsors along with recognition in local press, resulting in a £1000 profit for both charities.
