We Are Undefeatable

"We Are Undefeatable" intends to inspire and support people with long-term illnesses by making them aware of the positive benefits of physical activity.

About This Campaign

This campaign is led by Sport England in collaboration with 15 health and social-care charities, including Age UK, Alzheimer's Society, British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Stroke Association, with funding from The National Lottery.

While more than two-thirds (69%) of people with long-term health conditions say they would like to be more active, they are twice as likely to be inactive, a Sport England survey revealed. Research shows that even small amounts of activity can make a significant difference to health and well-being.

When it comes to finding ways to move, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. In fact, there are many, many ways to be active, including some that people may not realise actually count. So check out the campaign website for suggestions.

Nordic walking is a fantastic way to turn a simple walk into a total body exercise. Join this fun, engaging programme to learn the Nordic walking technique under the expert guidance of a British Nordic Walking instructor.
Using Nordic Walking poles we work the upper body as well as the legs which helps us burn loads more calories. It is also good for our posture, reduces impact on joints and helps strengthen abdominal muscles. Nordic walking is an ideal outdoor activity for people of all fitness levels and, being outdoors, it is great for our mental health too.
