We Are Undefeatable

"We Are Undefeatable" intends to inspire and support people with long-term illnesses by making them aware of the positive benefits of physical activity.

About This Campaign

This campaign is led by Sport England in collaboration with 15 health and social-care charities, including Age UK, Alzheimer's Society, British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Stroke Association, with funding from The National Lottery.

While more than two-thirds (69%) of people with long-term health conditions say they would like to be more active, they are twice as likely to be inactive, a Sport England survey revealed. Research shows that even small amounts of activity can make a significant difference to health and well-being.

When it comes to finding ways to move, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. In fact, there are many, many ways to be active, including some that people may not realise actually count. So check out the campaign website for suggestions.

Newbury Volleyball Club

Over 50 and want an indoor sport to keep you active through the winter try adapted volleyball
We can play with anything from a large inflated beach ball to soft lightweight ball to the competition standard ones
lack of mobility you can sit on chairs over a low net or try a slower paced version of volleyball.
I am a coach still playing at 62 and see the benefits it has to offer. Just because you are over 50 you should still have the chance to play sports in a club.
