Local groups can apply for funding for a wide range of community and environmental projects within 7 miles of a Lafarge - Tarmac site. This must be an aggregate, asphalt, recycling or waste site. There are a number of these across Leicestershire including Mount sorrel, Brooksby, Cadeby, Husbands Bosworth, Cotesbach and Lockington. An eligible project category is Public Amenity, this involves providing, maintaining or improving a public park or other public amenity.
This includes a wide range of projects such as children's play areas, village and community halls, tree planting, public footpaths, etc. The project must focus on "direct project works"
