Active Living Programme Grants

up to £2,000

Somerset has an ageing population and so maintaining good health and independence into older age is a high priority.

Active Living Programme Grants are designed to promote the benefits of staying physically and mentally active in later life.

They are being made available by Somerset County Council Public Health and administered by Somerset Community Foundation as part of The Somerset Fund programme.

We expect the grants to mostly benefit people aged 65 and over. This is because this age group can expect the greatest gains from maintaining their health and wellbeing.

Rugby League World Cup Capital Grants Programme

The programme is dedicated to improving the environments where Rugby League takes place; giving people more and better opportunities to engage with the game and to get active. They will invest in facilities and equipment that create environments that are accessible, welcoming and build a legacy of the 2021 tournament in local communities.

Magic Little Grants

Small one-off grants are available to small local charities and community groups in Great Britain that are engaging hard to reach individuals, encouraging them to take part in physical activity to help improve their physical health.

Weaver's Company Benevolent Fund

Grants are available for smaller UK based charities working with young offenders, prisoners and ex-prisoners, and young disadvantaged people, especially those at risk of criminal involvement within the UK.

FCC Community Action Fund

£2,000 to £100,000

The FCC Community Action Fund provides grants of between £2,000 and £100,000 to not-for-profit organisations for amenity projects eligible under Object D of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation - Community Centres & Village Halls Grants

Trusthouse is interested in applications for capital projects at community centres in the most deprived urban areas and village halls in remote and economically deprived rural areas.

HPC Community Fund - Small Grants Programme

Somerset Community Foundation is managing the HPC Community Fund to support communities to mitigate the impacts of the Hinkley Point C development - £2 million has already been awarded in grants to communities.

Local Investment in Future Talent - LIFT

£5,000 to £50,000

The Local Investment in Future Talent (LIFT) programme is a delegated grant scheme for voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSE) and other relevant organisations who can deliver a range of employability and skills support projects in the rural areas of Norfolk and North Suffolk.
