About Places to Paddle Sites & Facilities Lead

This is a great opportunity within British Canoeing to lead and coordinate the development and subsequent implementation of a British Canoeing facilities strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic and day to day management of the British Canoeing Places to Paddle Sites portfolio.

Candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, as part of the role will involve liaising effectively with different stakeholder groups, therefore excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential. Attention to detail is also key as is the ability to manage and lead projects successfully to completion.

Reporting to the Head of Recreational Paddling, this role will work closely with all areas of our organisation to achieve its objectives. The ability to work independently whilst also being a strong team player and being solution focused is therefore essential. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate they have experience and knowledge of producing risk assessments to include public and safety assessments and experience in planning and securing capital projects such as building work or site maintenance.
