About Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) Project Officer

Healthwatch Nottingham & Nottinghamshire is the local independent patient and public champion. We hold local health and care leaders to account for providing excellent care by making sure they communicate and engage with local people, clearly and meaningfully and that they are transparent in their decision making.

We gather and represent the views of those who use health and social care services, particularly those whose voice is not often listened to. We use this information to make recommendations to those who have the power to make change happen.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (HWNN) team to deliver our contract with Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group to engage maternity service users and their families in shaping and improving maternity services across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County.

You will do this through identifying, recruiting and training volunteers, collecting experiences from maternity service users through 1to1 engagements, surveys and focus group and representing their voices at key forums such at the MVP Board, LMNS (Local Maternity and Neonatal System), and meetings with our hospital Trusts, Nottingham University Hospital (City and Queens Medical Centre (QMC) and Sherwood Forest Hospital Trusts (SFHT) Kings Mill Hospital.

This is an exciting post within HWNN at a time when the whole team is embracing new and innovative ways of working to be the best it can be for our community and health and social care partners. Therefore we are looking for a passionate, self-motivated candidate to join our growing organisation and support all aspects of delivering the CCG contract from hiring volunteers, collecting experiences and reporting on the findings to commissioners and providers.

You will be part of the Evidence and Insight Team and work closely with the Programme and Insights Manager who will manage you. If this sounds like you, please send your application without a delay, describing with examples how you meet each of the criteria listed.

How to apply:

We warmly welcome applications from individuals from all of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire's population groups and diverse communities. A Job Description, Person Specification and an application form for this post are available visiting hwnn.co.uk/vacancies

Please note: Only completed application forms will be accepted, please do not send a CV.

If you would like to discuss this role in more detail, please contact Hester Kapur – Programme and Insights Manager on 07940 736996.

Closing date for applications: 9am Monday 29th October 2021
