About Active Communities Manager

The Opportunity

The Active Communities Manager will have experience within the field, managing local teams, projects and partnerships. All Active Communities Managers will receive support from the local contract team and our head office teams and will be part of the wider Active Communities Service across the Country.

You will be the local point of contact for all sites, partners and groups to develop a diverse Active Communities offering. You will lead on the local development plan to increase opportunities for people to get more active, improve their wellbeing and motivation, contributing to achieving key outcomes of Sport England.

You will work with local teams and networks to avoid duplication and maximise collaborative opportunities to develop even more programmes for local communities.

The Person

  • Highly organised
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work with a wide range of people and groups
  • Ensure all work is evidenced and the impact of all programmes is known
  • Responsible for attracting external funding to the contract
  • Experience of financial accountability.

The role requires you to have a valid driving licence, and access to a car, as you will be required to travel across each area and at various locations across the County.
