Bournville College and Sport Birmingham are teaming up in an ambitious plan to engage the community of Longbridge in a more healthy and active lifestyle- this initiative is called 'Move More Eat Well'.
Move More Eat Well is about starting something new and creating healthy choices. Its mission is to encourage and support people to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle using physical activity, healthy eating, sustainable travel and organic food growing.
Through working with all of the Move More Eat Well partners – Sport Birmingham, Northfield Ecocentre, Sustrans, Garden Organic and Service for Education – Bournville College is aiming to enable every student and staff member to have the opportunity and knowledge to build an active and healthy lifestyle.
Bournville College will officially start the Move More Eat Well movement on Thursday 27th April, where 24 student volunteers will learn new skills when they attend a Dodgeball Activators Course. Shortly after completing the course, the student volunteers will be deployed in schools, organisations and clubs around Longbridge with the aim of engaging people into a more active and healthy lifestyle.
There are a number of volunteer opportunities to work with Move More Eat Well, both inside Bournville College and in Longbridge. If you would like more information about how you can be involved, please speak to Dan Russ in Urban Chill.
