Europod Exchange comes to Birmingham

On Saturday 29th June, the 11th edition of the Europod exchange programme will take place in Birmingham. This will be the first year that the exchange has been hosted in Birmingham and will see nearly 200 participants join in with sports and cultural activities across the week.
The Europod exchange brings together young people from Birmingham, Lyon and Frankfurt through their passion for sport and helps them to learn about different cultures, languages and develop their personal skills. The three cities involved in the exchange are all twinned cities and therefore share a special relationship spanning over 50 years. It is a great opportunity for the young people involved to experience such a programme with other young people from our European partner cities.
Sport Birmingham have coordinated the city's involvement in the last 4 exchanges and have helped to increase the number of young people involved. We are greatly supported by volunteers from the sports clubs involved in the exchange programme, many of whom give a lot of their free time to help plan and organise different elements of the programme.
We are looking forward to a great week of activities and showcasing the best of Birmingham to our visitors. Check back for a full review in the next week.
