As the Government moves to ease restrictions put in place over recent months, the sport and physical activity sector is looking to reopen and prepare for the next stage. We have collated all of the Government information, advice and guidance that we believe you will require to safely reopen and restart delivery.
Sport England have produced a number of resources, particularly through their Club Matters programme, to help sports clubs and organisations that deliver physical activity. These resources will help to prepare for reopening, along with tips and advice to put the right measures in place for a safe return and ensure that participants, staff, volunteers, members and all those involved are kept safe.
The resources include,
- a re-opening toolkit
- creating a risk assessment
- understanding your people
- developing a risk register for clubs and organisations
- promoting social distancing
To ensure hygienic and safe surroundings for people taking part in physical activity, it's important activity providers follow guidance and encourage people taking part to do the same. Sport England have produced guidance to help you to communicate hygiene messages to people taking part in sport and physical activity.
Please continue to check the latest Government advice and see how the phased return to sport and re-opening of facilities will affect your club or organisation. For sport specific advice please visit your National Governing Body's website or click here for further information.
