Sport Birmingham's renewal of partnership with Sport Structures

We are delighted to announce the renewal of our partnership with Sport Structures as our recognised training provider to deliver and coordinate coach and volunteer training provision until up until August 2022.

Sports Structures, a nationally recognised training provider has been delivering minimum standard for deployment workshops on behalf of Sport Birmingham for the past 6 years.

This has included UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Emergency First Aid and CPSU Time to Listen, which local clubs, organisations and individuals have accessed to ensure their delivery of physical activity is fully regulated.

Sport Structures adapted quickly during the pandemic to develop virtual / online classrooms in order to continue to provide high quality and accessible training and this will form a major part of the new arrangement.

In addition, they will be offering new courses such as Mental Health First Aid and the Activity Alliance's Inclusive Activity Programme, a course designed to equip people with the skills to engage disable people more effectively in physical activity.

The new provision will reflect the wider needs of Birmingham's sport and physical activity sector, ensuring we can continue to provide valuable training and development opportunities where they are most needed.

Adam Warden, Workforce Manager at Sport Birmingham said:

"I am pleased that Sport Birmingham's relationship with Sport Structures will continue for the foreseeable future. In the current climate Sport Structures have managed to adapt their training offer brilliantly and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure this continues to meet the needs of the sport and physical activity sector across Birmingham."

The latest open courses are now available to book via the Sport Birmingham and Sport Structures websites and more will go live in the New Year.

We also work with clubs and organisations to deliver bespoke and closed training so if you can't find the course you are looking for or they are fully booked please contact adam.warden@sportbirmingham.org to discuss your needs.
