Stand Out - Employability & Mentoring Support for 18-25yrs

We're reaching out to you to raise awareness of a programme that could be of great benefit for your community of young people, please note that they must be 18-25yrs.

Please read below for more information. For any further questions, you can directly reach out to enquiries@onemillionmentors.org.uk and a member of the helpful team will promptly pick it up.

There are two specific pathways to consider, as outlined below.

#1 Support Pathway: Stand Out - Employability Training & Mentoring

As you are aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented and disproportionate impact on young people. Evidence suggests that this generation could face lifelong penalties as a result of the pandemic.

To support you and your young people during this difficult time, One Million Mentors has partnered with UpRising UK to launch Stand Out (backed by Youth Futures Foundation).

Stand Out will provide 400 young people across the UK with 4 weeks of FREE intensive employability training plus one year of 1:1 mentoring, to equip them with the knowledge, networks, skills and confidence they need to navigate these challenging times and to transition into work.

Start Date: 4 Oct 2021.

Eligibility: Young people aged 18-25 who are not in full time further education, or do not have employment secured.

Application & Selection Process:

1. Expressions of Interest are being collected now.

2. Submissions will then be contacted and receive an application form.

️ Oversubscription is expected, so prompt registrations are advised.

For more information about the Stand Out programme, including the benefits for young people, template text you could use to promote the opportunity, and ideas for how to share it, please refer to the Youth Partner Information Pack (attached).

#2 Support Pathway: Mentoring For All - Mentoring Only

Are your young people aged 18-25yrs and perhaps not needing or wanting the full Stand Out curriculum, but could still benefit from monthly 1:1 mentoring? If so, here below is a specific registration of interest for mentoring only, managed by One Million Mentors.

The Stand Out and One Million Mentors team will take on all the administration, only needing your help to reach and engage young people who will benefit from the offer.
