Sport Birmingham Board
Sport Birmingham is governed by a number of Board members who bring with them a wealth of skills and knowledge. The Board's key aims are to work with partners to increase participation in sport, physical education and active recreation, and to build clear pathways for people with sporting talent to enable them to reach their potential.

Matt Lloyd (Vice Chair)
Matt is a competitive and dedicated team player, Matt has represented Great Britain at both Ice Sledge Hockey and Sitting Volleyball, including at the Turin 2006 Winter Paralympic games. On the business front Matt has a degree in Business Information Systems from Liverpool John Moores University and is currently studying for an M.Sc. in Systems Thinking. Matt is also a Prince 2 Qualified Practitioner and has been a Lead Assessor in European Foundation for Quality Management assessments.
Having had a nomadic childhood, Matt first developed a love of playing and volunteering in sport when living in Birmingham in the early nineties with his involvement with sport and the city remaining to this day. In 2012 was one of 57 Olympic Torch Bearers honoured by Sport England for their work in community sport.
His background is one of marketing, analysis, strategic development, evaluation. business excellence and project management.
