Sport Birmingham Board
Sport Birmingham is governed by a number of Board members who bring with them a wealth of skills and knowledge. The Board's key aims are to work with partners to increase participation in sport, physical education and active recreation, and to build clear pathways for people with sporting talent to enable them to reach their potential.

James has held senior commercial roles within sport for 15 years including 2 Premier League football clubs, Nike and Edgbaston Cricket Ground, James became CEO of Birmingham based charity Cure Leukaemia in 2012.
The aim being to develop a co-ordinated strategy with the world class clinical team based at the internationally acclaimed Centre of Haematology based in Birmingham, led by Professor Charlie Craddock CBE.
In addition to his role at Cure Leukaemia, James retains close links in the sports world by managing the commercial interests of Warwickshire's former England batsman Jonathan Trott. In 2016 James along with former Premier League players Matthew Le Tissier and Francis Benali launched a new football management agency representing and mentoring young professional footballers.
