A bit of information about Jayne:
What is your background in terms of PE and Education?
I have been involved with the PE, sport and physical activity agenda for over 20 years, having worked within 3 local authority areas across the West Midlands. I have also recently worked for the Association for Physical Education (afPE) Heart of England region, and currently lecture in Sport and Leisure at the University of Worcester
Why do you think the PE and Sport Premium is so important?
The PE and Sport Premium is a fantastic opportunity for schools to get more children active and healthy, and for children to learn the confidence and skills to help them succeed in life
What do you think are the biggest challenges in PE & Sport at the moment?
One of the biggest challenges in PE and Sport is ensuring that all schools understand and value the huge contribution that the subject area has on the health and emotional well being of young people as well as on whole school improvement. All partners need to be able to measure the impact of all interventions, and ensure sustainability of high quality PE, sport and physical activity which will benefit all children and young people in the future
