Sport Birmingham have partnered with Stormbreak (https://www.stormbreak.org.uk), a charity that aims to improve children's mental health through movement, to bring the opportunity for 10 schools across the city to engage in the Stormbreak Surge programme.
Stormbreak surge is a 12-week school staff advocate training programme to make movement simple, inclusive and accessible. It equips staff with the delivery confidence to incorporate mentally healthy movement strategies into the daily life of the whole school.
Through partnership funding from Sport Birmingham, the opportunity is available to 10 schools for 50% of the normal cost, just £750.
The document below will give more details of the programme. If you wish for your school to be involved in this opportunity then please send an expression of interest email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 30th June 2021. Within this email, please include a short overview of why your school wishes to be involved, any current wellbeing initiatives that the school is involved in and also a commitment that you have the funding required (£750). Following this date, we will be able to inform all schools that have expressed an interest if they have been successful or not.
